Lets go  Fish or Find  a boat launch here

New York State has such a vast area to cover for fishing.
We have a abundance of rivers lakes creeks made for exploring and fishing.
I have been up to the canadian border of New York checking out the fishing hotspots to southern New York State.
Below is a list of boat launches that you can use some are New York State  owned some county mostly free.

I like fishing best right in Upstate New York in my back yard. I like the variety of fish here for this region.
We have Walleye Perch Salmon Trout Bass Bullhead Musklonge Salmon . Fishing these fish can be simple or complex depending on when you plan your fishing trip.

I like early in the season best the fish are as anixious as I am and want to feed heavilly. They also get winter blahs !
I have gathered up for you a bit of info on some local waters here and what you can expect for fishing .. See you on the Oneida Lake or my streams Happy streams to you always......

Fall brings on the Salmon fishing the best in the North East United States is found here Locally in Pulaski New York.
I have a link here for the areas Salmon fishing Hot Spots.

Oswego County

Fishing Reports for September 29, 2009
Oswego Area - Oswego River, Lake Ontario
Oswego River:

According to Larry Muroski of Larry’s Oswego Salmon Shop:
The rain the last couple of days has brought the water flow to almost 4,000cfs at times. As of this morning it is running at 2,970cfs. The increased water level has really helped to push a good number of salmon up into the river. The dam, the area behind the powerhouse and off the high wall have been active places to be. You will also find a few brown trout. Egg sacs, estaz flies, crazy eggs and sponges in Michael Jackson, watermelon and chrome are taking salmon and browns are responding to egg sacs and flies.

Lake Ontario report:
The lake fishing continues to wind down. The weather conditions have not been the best with wind and rain. Area tributaries are seeing more and more salmon working upstream. If you are hoping for a last lake trip, fish close to the mouths of the rivers and streams.

Mexico Point - Little Salmon River, Lake Ontario, Mexico Bay

The lake fishing season is winding down and more and more salmon are working their way into the tributaries.

Salmon River/Pulaski area

Salmon River:
According to Whitaker's Sport Shop & Motel:
The majority of anglers we spoke with reported having another good day with a steady push of kings and a few cohos in the mix throughout the day. The Staircase, Ballpark, Papermill and RT2A provided plenty of action. Anglers who fished the Upper and Lower Fly Fishing Area reported having plenty of action with a mix of kings, cohos and a few browns. Estaz eggs, comets, woolly buggers, estaz stoneflies, bunny leeches and starlite leeches seem to be producing the best results.
According to the Douglaston Salmon Run:
Monday anglers reported steady action throughout the run. Some in the lower clay reported another huge group of kings leaving the estuary and entering the river. This morning the weather is dreary but the anglers are reporting a nice mix of kings and cohos. There’s a good run of fish and we’re hoping all this rain will continue to make fishing awesome throughout the day.
According to Dave Wood of Woody’s Tackle:
The rain has moved fish up through the entire length of the river. The higher concentration is at the lower end right now but with the rain, these fish will be working upstream. It is likely that we will also see an influx of steelhead and browns into the estuary soon. With the rain, the streams will be seeing a decent run of fish if the rain is enough to raise their water levels.

Oneida Lake

Walleye fishing during the day has been slow but anglers are taking some on stickbaits at night. Perch are hitting minnows in 10-15 feet of water especially near Shackleton Shoals. Smallmouth bass continue to be active throughout the lake.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sandy Pond
There is not much activity on the pond but spinnerbaits are taking a few northern pike and largemouth bass.
